RAPA Organization update n 2014 Membership – 112 members in 2014 Fall Conference – Miami Beach, FL o 111 attendees, 2 nd largest attendance n 2015 Membership Renewals – o o 51 renewals through 4/1/15 9 new members n 2015 Officer election update o o Nomination committee formed – Slate to be finalized by June and communicated to members

Communications Committee • Responsible for web site management, social media management, and membership communications

Communications Committee • Responsible for web site management, social media management, and membership communications • Had limited membership in 2014 (3 members) • Chair resigned in November 2014 due to work commitments. • Member supporting website updates stepped down in January 2015 • Tom Hartlett currently managing communications, with support from Kim Langstaff and Stephanie Williams. • We need a volunteer to lead this committee going forward. • Decision made in January 2015 to request RFP’s for web site rebuild to enable end user content management and enhance functionality.

Website Initiative Overview Purpose Redesign the existing website www. reinsadmin. org to Members Tom Hartlett – Hartlett Consulting • Natalie Ho – Logiq 3 modernize the platform and provide added functionality. • Kim Langstaff, Hannover Re Logiq 3 has sponsored RFP development and project • Stephanie Williams, Hannover Re management. • Susan Whitehead – Sun Life • Genevra Pflaum – Hannover Re • Contract with Mediazeus to rebuild web site executed • Project timeline is 6 -8 weeks beginning mid April • New features to be implemented: • Redesign and reformatting of existing pages • Wordpress Content Management System – reduces need for technical support to update content • Website will be mobile device friendly • Online portal for administrator access and database • Registered user access to include member directory, training materials, internal communications, and online community forum. • Blog platform for article writing and sharing. • Google analytics for website tracking and analysis.

Data Initiative Deliverables & Milestones 1) Version 1 was rolled out at the 2014 RAPA Fall Meeting 2) Version 2 is currently available on the RAPA website @ http: //www. reinsadmin. org/data_learn_more. html Version 2 contains 3 new sections in Reporting Issues including: s eline Guid ance r u s in Re rting Repo i) Changes in Policy Number ii) Inforce and Transaction Not Reconciling iii) Partial Reporting 1) The other sub groups are working on: A. Conversions group – Partial conversions, Inter-company conversions and Exchanges B. Data Quality – Glossary of Terms including definitions, applicable lines of business and appropriate report/file for each field to be included in C. Notifications/Communication – Complete the new client reporting package, guidelines for what to include with claims submittals, and reserve sample reporting 2) Will produce Version 3 with the above items for the 2015 RAPA Fall Meeting

Develop a risk assessment tool for RAPA members to leverage • Shawn Murphy, Swiss Re iii. Assess & develop a risk based audit plan • Ricky Peterson, Munich Re iv. Identify and catalogue industry leading reinsurance auditing • Kelly Priest, Logiq 3 practices • John Whitaker assessment, and auditing and compliance reviews of the reinsurance administration function of the direct writers, reinsurers and retrocessionaires. This initiative is divided into two sub-teams with focus on: i) Reinsurance Administration Risk Assessment ii) Reinsurance Administration Audit and Compliance Reviews Areas of focus for 2015 include: i. v. Provide relevant training to RAPA members on the risk management framework and risk based audit planning Deliverables & Milestones Ø Intent is to further brainstorm the above deliverables during (Jan – June 2015) Ø Build out the relevant tools and techniques during (July – Dec 2015) Ø Distribute & develop tools as well as provide cross training on their use (likely during 2016)
