Important Quotations • Rahim Khan stands up for Amir while Baba talks about his relationship with his son. Showing he is more like a father figure than Baba is. “Children aren’t coloring books! You don’t get to fill them with your favorite colors. . This shows that Rahim respects Amir’s decisions and only wants him to do what he enjoys in life, further showing us his spiritual father side towards Amir. • Towards the end of the book Rahim Khan says to Amir “ there is a way to be good again” this shows us that Rahim wants only what’s best for Amir. By saying this he makes Amir realise what he has to do and Rahim Khan knew all along that was the only thing that would bring peace to Amir’s broken heart.
