KEY ALBUM THAT HAD A MASSIVE IMPACT ON THEIR CARRER Rage Against the Machine is the first debut studio album created by American rap metal band Rage Against the This album cover has the most interesting story behind it. This image was taken from a real event in Vietnam on June of 1963. This image is of a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk named ‘Thích Quảng Đức’ who burned himself to death at a busy intersection in Saigon. The selfimmolation was done in response to the persecution of Buddhists by South Vietnam’s Ngo Dinh Diem administration. The Catholic regime had cracked down on practicing Buddhists by banning the flying of the traditional Buddhist flag; prohibiting Buddhists from exercising the same religious freedoms as Catholics; and the continued detainment of Buddhist monks and nuns a moment referred to as The Buddhist Crisis. Journalist/photographer Malcolm Browne captured the scene in Saigon for the Associated Press, and the stark black and white image quickly became an iconic visual of the turbulent 1960 s. https: //thoughtcatalog. com/matthewnewton/2011/01/in-terrifying-color-vietnamesebuddhist-monks-1963 -self-immolation/

The first visual that will be shown will be of my impact logo design I will use this to educate the audience on what the title of my magazine is. My logo will then gradually fade into a piece of there most successful songs preferably ‘Killing in the name’ This will help give indication as to what the main topic of discussion will be. After this I will go into a direct introduction with the presenter who will introduce themselves and the topic directly. After this I will go into a 1 minute biography of the artist ‘Rage against the machine’ whilst doing this I will show clips of the protests and movements they influenced with a fade in and fade out transition. I will then transition into a 10 seconds clip of the artist in concert performing. Directly after this I will go into a 1 to 1 interview with someone who knows a lot about my chosen artist. I will use a rage of close ups and medium close ups that focus on the speaker. In between the interview I will break using clips of the interviewer asking the questions. To conclude my video I will revert back to the beginning set up in the studio where the interviewer will do a good night and goodbye piece. I will also use graphics at the end such as closing credits and the social media link (‘twitter’) which will be accompanied by its logo.
Rationale The purpose of my video is to educate and inform the younger society of the major impacts ‘Rage against the Machine’ brought to the political side of the music industry. I feel that my artist doesn't’t have enough recognition for all the work they have created and what they have done. My documentary will be successful because I have a lot of knowledge on my topic and I have also prepared and gathered lots of information based on the artist. I will be the best person to direct this piece because I have previously directed and created my own music video and water advertisement so I have lots of practice within this region as well as this I am very focus and ambitious and I feel these are the skill required for this position. Although I am very confident with using the camera I will be asking one of my friends to film on behalf of me because I intend to be the main speaker in my video. I think my friend will be perfectly suited for this role as he dose a lot of camera work in his spare time and has much more experience with shot type than myself. My documentary is just within the amounts I intend to spend and despite the low amount of money needed for its production the process of creation is extremely time consuming and there for makes it an ambitious piece of work.
Feasibility The project is definitely an achievable task and will be produced within the budget as it only requires a simplistic set up. The software I intend to use is Photoshop and final cut pro / premiere pro all of which can be found within my collage. I also have free access to cameras and filming equipment which also contributes to the low budgets. My documentary doesn't contain any extreme effects and for that reason falls within the cheaper category. DEADLINE LATE JANUARY NEXT YEAR
