Rules for Spoons • Dealer - Deal four cards to each player. • Dealer - View and pass cards from the deck to next player. • All players continue to pass while selecting four of a kind (for example - four Kings, NOT four spades). • Anyone - when you have only four of a kind in your hand you may take a spoon. • When anyone takes a spoon, everyone can take a spoon. • If you end up without a spoon, you must change tables. • The newest player at a table must deal the next hand.

Red Predisposition • • One “correct” way. “Here and now” view. Independent worker. “Count” oriented. Highly reliable. Consistent opinions. “Rules” watchdog. …and more!
Green Predisposition • • Focused on harmony. Makes “connections. ” Avoids hard decisions. All about relationships. Runs by a schedule. Considers “people. ” “Of service” to others. …and more!
Blue Predisposition • • Ambiguous. Dreamer - visionary. All about change. Long-term view. Innovative. Risk-taker. Patient. Systemic thinker. …and more!
Blue Trends • Progress that is measured by output and financial gains is insufficient in forecasting organizational potential. • Reward and recognition systems provide little or often negative incentive. • Information is guarded based on a need-toknow “rule, ” leaving the workforce ample room for potentially negative guesswork.
Red Trends • Lack of appropriate authority and accountability at all levels in organizations is a barrier to progress. • Fairness and equity concerns across the workforce prevent a full commitment to problem finding and solving. • Traditional performance evaluation systems are ineffective at motivating members of the workforce to improve performance.
Green Trends • The “gap” between the front-line and the executive suite is growing: leaving a battlefield of mistrust and misunderstanding that rob the organization of capacity. • The value of embracing the full range of diversity has not been realized leaving some members of the workforce less than fully engaged. • The earnest application of cross-functional teams prevents adequate return-on-investment.
