Quick Write Procedure: � Write rapidly without stopping for 5 -10 min! � A means to quickly represent your thoughts. � A quick write could be: reflecting on a lesson, constructed response to a reading, or your understanding of a new concept

Act 1 Quick Write (Choose ONE) 1. 2. Love in all the wrong places: Have you ever become interested in something that you know is not good for you, but you want to do it anyhow? Romeo falls in love with Juliet, but knows his parents will not approve. Young people smoke cigarettes, yet they know the dangers of smoking. Lots of people love sweets, yet they know sweets are dangerous to their health. Write about something you are interested in that you know is not good for you. Party Crashers: You have heard of “wedding crashers. ” But have you or someone you know ever been a “party crasher” – going to a party or other event without being invited? Or perhaps you had someone “crash” your event. Write about a real or imaginary “party crashing” situation. 3. Hasty Decisions: Have you ever done something (like agreeing to baby sit or agreeing to make favors for a party) and then regretted your rapid decision? Write about a real or imaginary hasty decision. 4. Your Choice: Write about a topic of interest to you at this moment. It could be something personal or about family or school or news or life. Maybe you just need to write about something to work out a situation in your mind – go for it!
