The founders of ANS previously owned a pharmacy management software company named Flux Technology

The founders of ANS previously owned a pharmacy management software company named Flux Technology Solutions. Flux was founded in 1997. The flagship product, Next. Rx, was adopted by four mail service clients in 1999. Flux also provided the architecture for a 1, 500 store retail chain (Lloyd’s Pharmacy) in the UK. Flux was sold to Tech. Rx in 2000.

Due to the slow adoption of electronic prescribing, customer requests prompted ANS to build a pharmacy management system around the core middle-ware product. In May 2006 to spur company growth and gain instant market share ANS released e. Post. Rx as an open source application. Since the open source release ANS has installed eight customers.
