Glass Renovation • Dirty or contaminated glassware can be refurbished using a glass renovate powder or liquid such as “renovate”. We recommend Allson Renovator Liquid. • Brand new glasses should always be put through a renovate wash cycle before use, to remove any residue from manufacturing. • The chemical can be used in a glass washing machine. Ensure the machine operating procedures are followed correctly. This usually requires you to disconnect the detergent and rinse aid. • Renovator can also be used in a sink, and used to soak the glasses in the solution. Rubber gloves should be used when carrying out this type of procedure, due to the possible chance of irritation to the skin. • After a “renovate” wash, the glasses must be subjected to a normal wash. • For advice on your glass washer, please click here Back to contents
Common Causes for Glass Washer problems • The machine is not cleaned regularly. • Washing items other than glasses in the machine… ie coffee cups, cutlery…. etc. • Glass washing machine is not serviced regularly. • Old & badly damaged glassware. • Incorrectly stacked glasses. Back to contents Glass wash do not’s
Glass washers DO NOT’S • Don’t put any glasses containing foreign objects through a glass washing machine. • Don’t place anything other than glasses in the machine. No coffee/tea cups, ashtrays…etc • Don’t use the machine until correct operating temperature is reached. • Don’t stack glasses on top of each other in the machine • Don’t re-use the machine until wash & rinse temperatures have recovered to correct levels. • Don’t leave washed glasses in the machine for a long period of time.
