QUESTION TWO: How does my magazine represent particular social groups?

As I’d previously stated; the audience my magazine primarily focuses on are stereotypically perceived

As I’d previously stated; the audience my magazine primarily focuses on are stereotypically perceived as ‘rough’ or ‘abrupt’. It also works in favour of comic book enthusiasts or people who would commonly be looked upon as perhaps ‘geeky’. As such, I blended together the harsh and bold look of a Kerrang! magazine and the sleek, cartoon-esque and minimalistic design utilised on comic book covers.

The images used on my contents page relate to the audience I am working towards. Whether it be a prize, the dark element or the guitar which in itself a majority of rock music enthusiasts would be interested in. The colour scheme hasn’t been changed and still possesses the intense and sudden aurora that I’d previously mentioned. The font represents the danger and boldness that fans of my magazine would stereotypically have, even if the written word says otherwise.

My double page spread represents the social group I’m appealing towards quite well. There’s an interview with a ‘rock star’ which follows the familiar format for the aforementioned social group. I’ve made the massive headline appealing enough to my intended audience that they may find it a fun and relatable read. The depressing tone expressed also matches the melancholy conveyed in the interview.
