Paragraph 2 Write a short review of book (compare/contrast to another book, make a recommendation, explain how the title fits the book, explain why you did/didn’t like it, etc. ) Use appropriate closing

Oral Presentation Prepare a 2 -3 minute presentation to share in front of the class. Include: title, author, summary, and opinion of book. Summary should include character, setting, problem, solution, ending. Speak loudly and clearly. Use good. eye contact You may use notecards.

Storyboard Tell your story in 6 -8 steps. Include title and author. Each step should have at least 4 sentences and a colored picture (drawing ability will not affect your grade). Make sure you include information about character, setting, problem, solution, and ending.

Flipbook Tell your story in 5 steps. Include title and author. Each step should have at least 4 sentences and a colored picture (drawing ability will not affect your grade). Make sure you include information about character, setting, problem, solution, and ending.

Beginning-Middle-End Tell your story in 3 parts: beginning, middle, end. Each part should contain a 2 paragraph summary that is written in paragraph form using a minimum of 5 complete sentences for each paragraph. Summary should be descriptive, contain specific details from the text, and retell the entire story using only essential details (character, setting, problem, solution OR who, what, when, where, why, how). Each part should contain a colored illustration that matches the text.

4 Scenes Share your favorite scenes from your book. Make sure they are in chronological order. Each scene should contain a colored illustration and a 3 -4 sentence caption for each illustration. Captions should be written in complete sentences and should be descriptive.

Cube Using a cube template, give the following information about your book: Title, author, your name Character Setting Problem Solution Ending Except for title side, write in complete sentence form. Be descriptive. You may add color/pictures as long as it does not interfere with the text. Assemble you cube CAREFULLY.

Once you have turned in your quarterly project, you may do any of the following for any remaining books you read that quarter: Do a second project for extra credit (by same due date) Complete six questions on back board/teacher page Online Reflection (on teacher page) ALL BOOKS READ COUNT ON LOG REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU RESPOND TO THEM
