Issues that have affected Qantas are: The Malaysian Airline incident: Although the Malaysian Airline incident did not involve Qantas directly, it did however had a major effect on them. The tragedy caused Qantas to improve its travel safety. Tax cost leading to price rise: Qantas being a large Australian corporation cannot avoid paying taxes, this is a contributing factor towards there decrease in profit. Due to this, Qantas has increased the price of tickets , causing them to lose plenty of customers.

This year Qantas recorded a loss of $2. 8 Billion but made a $2 million profit in 2013. The revenue for 2014 was also less then 2013’s total revenue.
