Key Strategic Initiative Provide a workbench for each key role in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain areas QAD Proprietary

Master Scheduler’s Objective 5 Establish an item’s most optimum build schedule that meets customer demand – Measurements : • Improved Customer Service – On time deliveries – Reduced back orders • Reduced Inventories – Inventory turns – Reduced inventory investment • Stable Manufacturing Schedule – Increased production efficiency – Reduced set up costs/time – Reduced overtime costs QAD Proprietary

Master Scheduler’s Challenge Executives Finance ROI must improve; the stockholders are not happy! There’s too much cash tied up in inventory! Manufacturing There are too many changes! Provide fixed schedules and the correct parts and delivery will improve. Engineering Sales Service levels are down. I need more inventory! Whatever it takes to keep the customer happy! QAD Proprietary There’s a new product introduction scheduled for the fall! But we need more time for design!

MSW & PSW Framework Introduction

Planning & Scheduling – Future Flow Period -> Month -> Week -> Day MSW • Initial plan is created by the system • MRP (traditional) • Leveling (new) • GRC (new) Demand Received Demand received -> PSW Production Planned • Balance demand / supply /resources to ensure a feasible and level production plan. -> Interval Base CAC • Sequence production orders by item attributes and resource allocations to Optimize shop floor Production Scheduled CAC M SW PSW Ba se QAD Proprietary Shift -> hour Base Production Dispatched • Verify materials available • Release orders • Print work orders and schedules • Monitor Production & Manage Production Order Production Reported MSW/PSW/CAC Together - Consolidation of 50 maintenance, report and inquiry programs - New capabilities (production scheduling, integrated component checking)

Framework Introduction Master Scheduling (MSW) Scheduling view designed for the purpose of master scheduling QAD Proprietary

Framework Introduction Production Scheduling (PSW) Scheduling view designed for the purpose of production scheduling QAD Proprietary

Framework Introduction Search Panel extracts content for both workbench views Navigator Panel drives content focus of both workbench views Supporting Frames apply seamlessly to both workbench views QAD Proprietary

MSW: Primary Grid-Set Introduction

Capacity Displays information per selected resource/item in the Schedule Grid Schedule Primary context of the workbench. All workbench activity and navigational behavior is driven from this panel Supply/Demand Provides demand & supply context for selected item in the Schedule Grid. Primary information used for scheduling decision making and adjustments QAD Proprietary

User selects the item row in Schedule Grid. Supporting Panels Enables master scheduling action and decision making. Represents over 30 maintenance programs and reports! QAD Proprietary

MSW: Views Create customized workbench layouts

Views Provides ability to create different user defined workbench layouts and save them for quick access Saves Filter/Sort/Group Settings of each Panel QAD Proprietary Saves Panel Size

Example: Created View with Master Scheduling (MSW) and Production Scheduling (PSW) side-by-side QAD Proprietary
