SO WHO WAS PYTHAGORAS? Pythagoras of Samos (580– 496 BC ) was a mathematician, astronomer and philosopher.
SO WHO WAS PYTHAGORAS? He is best remembered for his theorem relating to right-angled triangles, although it is now known that some ancient societies knew of theorem before Pythagoras was even born. It is said that Pythagoras discovered his theorem by looking at the pattern of square floor tiles. Many of Pythagoras’ findings are said to have come from his students, however, Pythagoras took the credit!
