Purpose of Today’s Discussions ØSolicit input from members of the President’s Circle about how PVCC can help our residents, businesses, and community. ØIdeas regarding PVCC’s role for the future will be used in the process to develop PVCC’s Strategic Plan for 2008 -2012.

Ø To anticipate and respond to changes and trends in our internal and external environments. Ø To focus our systems and resources. Ø To use institutional effectiveness to improve.
Strategic Planning Process Ø Review the College’s Vision, Mission, Core and Supporting Values. Ø Consider the impact of internal and external trends on PVCC. Ø Develop and recommend a Strategic Plan for PVCC’s future.
PVCC’s Strategic Planning Process Measure and Evaluate Effectiveness Determine Performance Indicators Review Vision, Mission & Values Conduct Environmental Scan Establish Goals and Strategies
Steps to Develop New Strategic Plan Ø Establish goals and strategies for next five years. Ø Determine related indicators to measure institutional effectiveness. Ø Present new Strategic Plan for 2008 -2012 for approval by college before end of Spring 2008.
Input from the Community Regarding PVCC’s Role for the Future Ø What challenges and opportunities will this area of the Greater Phoenix Valley face in the next 5 -10 years? Ø Given these challenges and opportunities, identify the types of programs and services that PVCC should emphasize.
