Putting on the Lord Jesus Christ

Dispensation of the Church Initial Conditions 1. All Divine Institutions (Volition, Marriage, Family, and Nationalism) are in place. 2. The Noahic Covenant remains in place as a permanent promise to man. 3. The Abrahamic Covenant remains in place in a more fulfilled sense unto the provisions of salvation for all men (Gal 3: 8), with fulfillment of its particular provisions for Israel deferred for a time (see below). 4. The governing factors of conscience, the restraint of the Holy Spirit, civil government, and patriarchal rule are carried forward. 5. Israel is set aside for a time as God’s agent in spiritual matters, though remains a set-apart nation unto God for future fulfillment of the Covenants and Promises (Rom 11). 6. The Mosaic Law retains a historical agency, but has no role in the basis of personal spirituality, though its principles of holiness remain as a testimony to the righteousness of God and the sinfulness of man (1 Tim 1: 8 ff).
