Philanthropy and Service A huge part of our chapter is philanthropy. We love to incorporate helping other organizations and community service in our sorority experience. Speech and hearing is our national philanthropy so we hold fun and interactive fundraising events such as Hoops For Hearing, Bingo events, etc to raise money and awareness for the cause. As a chapter we also choose a local philanthropy each year to support and be a partner with. Our ladies each complete 40 services hours per school year. We help each other complete the hours by holding group philanthropy events while also making them sisterhood events. As a chapter we love including our young women in sisterhood bonding while helping others in the process. An example of this is when our ladies made blankets for the children’s hospital. Being able to serve our community and national philanthropy is something our chapter is very proud of.

Chapter Events (socials, formals etc. ) Our chapter loves to maintain our relationships with other organizations on campus. To stay connected, we have socials and mixers where we get to know everyone better, play games, and have an overall fun time hanging out. Recently, instead of going to a certain location, we hold these events over Zoom where we are able to incorporate apps and internet games to stay connected with each other as well as other organizations. We also have an annual celebratory formal event where sisters get to celebrate the anniversary of Delta Zeta and gain recognition for their accomplishments throughout the semester!
