Network Design Drawbacks § Site accessibility § High antenna tilt angles to get an obstaclefree view § Higher mountains’ height is over 1 Km (maximum desirable height of study)

Radar Design

VCO vs. DDS § Voltage Controlled Oscillator - Controlled by a variable voltage source - Need of a digital to analog converter § Direct Digital Synthesis - Reprogrammable to each center frequency - Digital input

Internal Calibration § Conducts the transmitted pulse to the receiver in order to calibrate the receiver and to measure the transmitted phase. § Continuous monitoring of transmit power and receiver gain § Worst error produced when the leakage signal is out of phase with the calibration loop signal
