Tombs of Buganda Kings The Tombs of Buganda Kings relates to the city because it houses the tombs of four kings. These kings have been very important to the cities and their governments. The tomb is in a rural area for farming, at the top of a hill. It has huts like the hut pictured in the photo. The site is important to preserve because it is historical to the African Cities and decedents of these tribes. The tombs can also help us learn about their culture, how they built and how they worshipped.
Rock Hewn Churches The Rock Hewn Churches of Lalibela, Ethiopia are churches made into a mountain. These churches are important because they were for spreading Christianity. These churches also were apart of the movement to make a “New Jerusalem”. It is important to preserve this site because this is a testament to how the early years of spreading Christianity began. These churches also were made for worshipping, which is important to these types of cultures.
Great Zimbabwe National Monument The Great Zimbabwe National Monument is important to the City of Great Zimbabwe. This site was related to this tribe and city because it was an important trading centre. It was very renowned from the middle ages, to until its downfall. This boosted the cities economy greatly. This site is important to preserve because it shows how ancient civilizations were very precise about their building and architecture. This also shows that many civilizations had very advanced and functioning economies.
