*Definition* Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Is a mental health that is triggered by a terrifying event.
*Symptoms* Panic attacks: a feeling of intense fear, which can be accompanied by dizziness, sweating, nausea (vomit), and a racing heart. Symptoms: headaches, stomach pain, tightness or burning in the chest, muscle cramps, flashbacks and nightmares.
*The Diagnosis* ● You experienced the traumatic event. ● You learned someone close to you experienced or was threatened by the traumatic event. ● You are repeatedly exposed to graphic
*Treatments* ● Behavioral therapy and medicines known as SSRIs appear to be the most effective treatments ● (SSRIs is a drug that used as a treatment of major depressive disorder and anxiety disorders). ● PTSD can go on for years or it can go away and then come back if another event brings up memories of the trauma. ● SSRI Side Effects: Drowsiness(feeling of being sleepy) Insomnia (inability to sleep) Headaches Increased sweating
