Is it scientific? All boys go through the Oedipus complex where they sexually desire their mothers and fear their fathers. The resolution of this complex leads to the development of the superego. Funny, but I don’t remember ever fancying my mother. . . Of course you don’t. Your ego has repressed it into your unconscious mind. Those memories are inaccessible to you. § Explain why in this example, theory of the Oedipus complex is unfalsifiable.
