What do Colleges look for? Do you FIT? 6. Grade Point Average – Universities use a GPA weight index to calculate the relative weight of your GPA. They will add points to all AP classes to compute your GPA in relation to your strength of transcript. In the university’s eyes, you could have a GPA higher than 4. 0.

AP Capstone Diploma Two courses - AP Capstone 1 (Seminar) and Capstone 2 (Research) + 4 other AP classes in grades 9 -12 (3 or better on each exam) Ø Ø Synthesize information from multiple perspectives Equip students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills. Ø Apply skills in cross-curricular contexts Ø Collect and analyze information with accuracy and precision Ø Craft, communicate, and defend evidence-based arguments Ø Practice disciplined and scholarly research skills while exploring relevant topics that appeal to your interests and curiosity.

What's Next? Ø Ø Spots are available to 10 th, 11 th, and 12 th graders in Capstone 1/Seminar classes. Register for all classes and select “Capstone” as an alternate. Complete requirements of Capstone application. AP Research course offered in 2018 -19 at PHS Ø Ø AP Research to RHS and ERHS in 2019 -20 Graduate first students with AP diplomas in 2019.
