What is intensive Recirculation Aquaculture? Indoor Recirculation Aquaculture System are land-based fish farms, which allows all year round control and delivery of fish. Whether the facility will use fresh water, brackish or a marine water, an R. A. S works on the same principles. The system can achieve optimal temperature and optimal and stable production all year round, independent of seasonal variation, location, climate and environment. 2 1 Water to filtration Tanks in various sizes, where fish is grown to consumption size. Solids like uneaten feeds and faeces are removed by the mechanical filtration. Water to fish tanks 3 5 Re-oxygenate the cultured water to super saturated level. Bacteria consume the ammonia(NH 4), which convert into nitrogen (Co 2) and is released into the atmosphere. 4 UV , ozone and upflow filtration to optimize the water quality.
