Website • Free recruitment portal on the website for advertising vacancies • Proud to Care Ambassadors scheme established • Free values based recruitment workshops / training • Glos. advertising campaign Jan – March 2018

Year Two Priorities • Engage 16 -24 year olds, parent returners and people over the age of 55 in starting careers in care • Encourage providers within Gloucestershire to share best practice in retention through workshops and forums • Support the development and implementation of the ‘Glos Assistants’ Noticeboard (Gloucestershire’s personal assistants for care register). • Develop and coordinate work experience and volunteering Increase the completion of National Minimum Data Set for Social Care (NMDS-SC) • Continue to develop an engaging local brand / website to harness interest towards our vacancies • Work with health partners to maximize recruitment across the care & health sector in Gloucestershire • Develop two new Proud to Learn Pathways

DHSC pilot • • Piloting the National ASC Campaign – Every Day is Different The aim of the campaign is to recruit more people into adult social care, now and in the future: § § § Changing attitudes and perceptions of the sector Drive applications into Adult Social Care roles Increase understanding of the variety of roles Equip the sector with tools for proactive, successful recruitment in the future Learn what messages and channels are most effective for the roll out of the National campaign in Jan 19

Fundamentals of Care Programme • Develop the ASC workforce within the County hopefully leading to greater job satisfaction and improved retention • Support staff to better recognise a change in a person’s usual function and enable them to escalate appropriately • Funded through Health Education England under the umbrella of the STP/ICS • Priorities include; Diabetes, EOL, NEWS, Sepsis & Infection control( including deterioration of a person), Skin care and Integrity, Oral Health, Nutrition and Hydration, Respiratory, Foot Care, and Continence Care
