Same Love - Macklemore and Ryan Lewis • The track, featuring vocals by Seattlebased singer Mary Lambert, protests the issue of gay and lesbian rights and was recorded during the campaign for Washington Referendum 74, which, upon approval in November 2012, legalised same-sex marriage in Washington. • “Same Love” is a song from Macklemore’s album The Heist which has played a big part in making the issue of gay and lesbian equality more understandable to mainstream audiences. • The song goes into the fact that being homosexual is not a choice and the cannot change something that is unchangeable

" He felt with that, American news crossed the line from journalism to reality television, showcasing violent footage intercut with advertisements. • In advance of Donald Trump's visit to the UK in July 2018, a campaign to get "American Idiot" to the top of the UK song charts was launched as a protest. On the Official UK Charts dated 13 July 2018, the song reentered the UK Singles Chart at 25 and the UK Singles Downloads Chart at number 2.

More specifically, that they are lazy, anti-government, and anti-religion, which Mustaine says are mostly untrue. • The cover depicts the United Nations set ablaze while some smug skeleton smirked behind a "For Sale" sign. Which is another form of protest which supports the song.
