Protective Custody CRISIS INTERVENTION

Mental Illness "Mental illness" means a substantial disorder of thought, mood, perception, psychological orientation

Mental Illness "Mental illness" means a substantial disorder of thought, mood, perception, psychological orientation or memory that significantly impairs judgment, behavior, capacity to recognize reality or ability to meet the ordinary demands of life.

Mental Incompetent Person "Mentally incompetent person" means any person who has been adjudicated mentally

Mental Incompetent Person "Mentally incompetent person" means any person who has been adjudicated mentally or legally incompetent by an appropriate district court. The execution of the insane – someone who does not understand the reason for, or the reality of, his or her punishment violates the U. S. Constitution (Ford v. Wainwright, 1986). The Ford decision left the determination of sanity up to each state.
