Proposal to add Chinese Motorcycle Standards Tianjin Motorcycle Technical Center 1
Proposal to add Chinese motorcycle standards to all GTRs developed by EPPR IWG (GTR 2, GTR 17, GTR 18 and DUR), starting with for GTR 2, notably I- C. 1 of ECE/TRANS/180/Add. 2/Amend. 4. Chinese Standards: - GB 14622 -2016 “Limits and measurement methods for emissions from motorcycles（CHINA Ⅳ）” - GB 18176 -2016 “Limits and measurement methods for emissions from mopeds （CHINA Ⅳ）” - GB 14621 -2011 “Limits and measurement methods for exhaust pollutants from motorcycles and mopeds under two-speed idle conditions” Justification： Chinese standards have special characteristics in the limit requirements of test type II, the requirements of OBD test, the test method of test type V, and the inspection requirements of key emission components such as carbon canister and catalytic converter. 2
