Proposal for the 40émes journées des actinides, 23. -27. 4. 2010, Stará Lesná, Slovakia Slovak highest mountains – High Tatras with nice nature are situated only 100 km away Košice (flight connection). Slovak Academy of Sciences posses the congress centre ACADEMIA in Stará Lesná (http: //www. hotelacademia. sk) with all facilities for the organisation of conferences. Stará Lesná is reachable by train from Košice via Poprad and Starý Smokovec or Tatranska Lomnica. We suggest to organise bus transport from Poprad to Stará Lesná. The 13 th Czech and Slovak Conference on Magnetism (CSMAG'07) took place in Košice, Slovakia, July 9 th and 12 th 2007. The conference was attended by 235 scientists from 20 countries. In addition to researchers from the Slovak Republic and Czech Republic, nearly 50 % of participants came to Košice from abroad. (AT 3, BG 2, CZ 33, FR 1, DE 9, HU 8, IT 2, JP 2, PL 56, PT 2, RO 1, SB 4, SK 86, SL 2, ES 4, SE 1, TR 2, UA 8, UK 4, US 4) COST meeting ACTION P 16 (M.
