Jonah as a symbol of Christ • Jonah was sent for salvation of people of Nineveh • Jonah was thrown in the sea to save the sailors, as Jesus was crucified for our salvation • Jonah was in the belly of the whale for 3 days and 3 nights like Jesus in the tomb. • Jonah came out of the belly of the whale alive, like Jesus resurrected after the third day.
