Step 2 Ø Fill out a chemical pick up request online at l http: //utdallas. edu/utdgeneral/business/ safety/envmanage/chemicalp/chemical pickup. html Complete all fields, print it, and click submit Ø Place the form near the bottle OR attach it to the bottle with a small piece of tape Ø Chemical pic up request form

General Precautions Make sure the lid is on tight Ø Do not fill more than 3/4 of the container Ø Overfilling containers may cause spills and unnecessary exposure to EH&S personnel Ø

General Procedures Ø Ø Ø Loose red labels will not be picked up Do not stick forms into the necks of bottles We can provide empty containers only if we have extras from other labs We strongly recommend the use of secondary containment (We can provide this service on a limited basis) Pick ups are estimated to be completed within 1 week l If a pickup does not occur within 1 week contact smitc@utdallas. edu

Ø The standard method for chemical pick up requests is through our website Ø This allows for better customer service by allowing us to pick up on a first come first serve basis Ø Empty containers need to have the labels defaced, mark them as trash, and place them next to regular trash l We do not pick up empty containers END OF SHOW PRESS “ESC” TO QUIT
