DAY 1

Pronouns Pronoun is a word used in place of a noun ( person, place or thing ).

Read the following sentences Sam is a boy. Sam likes football. Sam is a boy. He likes football. He is a pronoun. It is used in the place of noun Sam. Sonia is a teacher. Sonia teaches English. Sonia is a teacher. She teaches English. She is a pronoun. It is used in the place of noun Sonia.

Look at the children. Children are reading. Look at the children. They are reading. They is a pronoun. It is used in the place of noun Children. This is a story book. The story book has stories. This is a story book. It has stories. It is a pronoun. It is used in the place of noun book.

Personal Pronouns They are used in place of the names of persons , animals or things. Examples - I, me, we, us, you, he , him , she , her , his , it , they , them

Reflexive Pronouns They are used to show that the person who does the action is the same person who receives the action. They are formed by adding self or selves to the pronouns. Examples- myself , yourself , himself , herself , itself The dog is licking itself. The girl hurts herself.
