Personal Pronouns You have already seen that personal verb endings usually function as subject pronouns in Latin: amo: I love amas: you love amat: he/she/ it loves amamus: we love amatis: y’all love amant: they love
Personal Pronouns However, when you want to show EMPHASIS or SHARP CONTRAST between subjects, Latin can use the personal pronouns as subjects › › › ego (I) tu (you) nos (we) vos (you pl. ) is, ea, id (he, she, it)* *We’ll tackle the declension of is/ea/id later on. For right now, let’s learn the declensions of ego and tu.
It’s all about ME… NOM GEN DAT ACC ABL ego mei mihi me me I… of me to/for me …me from/by/with me

Genitive: “of…. ” A few of us carried the lumber. Pauci nostrum materiam portaverunt. Nota Bene! Do not use the genitive personal pronouns to show possession. Use the possessive adjectives instead.
