Pronoun Antecedent Agreement n Antecedent: noun or pronoun that a pronoun refers to or replaces
Singular pronouns n. Refer back to a singular antecedent n. Example: If an immigrant was said to be unhealthy, he or she might be sent back home.
Plural pronouns n Refer back to a plural antecedent n Example: As the immigrants passed the statue, they studied it with awe.
