Pronomes Um pronome relativo é aquele que liga duas orações (connector), modificando, de alguma forma, a primeira oração. Eis os pronomes relativos: who / whom / which / that / whose Quais são os pronomes relativos? Os pronomes relativos mais usados em uma conversa em inglês são: Who – usado para falarmos de pessoas; Which – quando queremos falar sobre objetos e animais; That – usado de modos variados; Whom – também usado para falarmos sobre pessoas, dependendo da frase; Where – quando falamos de lugares; Whose – para falarmos de posses. Who Quando queremos falar sobre pessoas, utilizamos o who. Veja só: The girl who studies with me has asked me out. – A menina que estuda comigo me chamou para sair. Perceba como who faz referência à garota, ou seja, the girl.
