• • • About Jalaun District is one of the poorest in India School education needs a lot of support SC male literacy rate is 40. 0% SC dropout at primary level is 15. 2% Issues in schools – Attendance – Electricity – Sanitation

Component 1 in Proposal from PSSS • PSSS will work in 5 villages which have 5 primary schools and 3 upper primary schools • Support requested to educate the communities about their rights under Right To Education (RTE) Act and absence of implementation • Support also requested for improvement in infrastructure of schools

Component 2 in Proposal from PSSS • Creation and Maintenance of a Block Level Learning Center • Will be located at PSSS –owned facility in Madhogarh town • Will have 3 experienced teachers to offer afterschool help to 9 th to 12 th grade students in – English – Mathematics – Science
