3. 3 Initiating Process Group Introduction v Within the initiating processes, q initial scope is defined q initial financial resources are committed q Internal and external stakeholders are identified q If not already assigned, the project manager will be selected. v This information is captured in the PROJECT CHARTER and STAKEHOLDER REGISTER. v When the project charter is approved, the project becomes officially authorized.
