Create and maintain liaisons with other selected marketing and standards bodies. Foster two-way communications between suppliers and consumers of WPAN products. Clearly & distinctly differentiate the IEEE WPAN wireless activities It is noted that if we choose a candidate from industry e. g. , Bluetooth SIG, Home. RF, Kodak, etc. we will have access to marketing. Source: -99/031 r 3 Marketing Committee Report Submission 6 Ian Gifford, M/A-COM, Inc.

May 2000 doc. : IEEE 802. 15 -00/121 r 1 Bluetooth SIGnal General Submission Rules • The length of articles for Bluetooth SIGnal varies, but it should not normally exceed two pages. As a general rule, a one-page article should be about 700 words, as this will leave room for an accompanying picture or graph. Pictures should be sent in eps format if possible, otherwise TIFF format is acceptable. ” Roger Peacock MC agreed we will use a ~250 word recurring column format vs. submitting single articles. The title format is “WPAN: x” x=topic. Submission 7 Ian Gifford, M/A-COM, Inc.

May 2000 doc. : IEEE 802. 15 -00/121 r 1 Bluetooth SIGnal General Submission Rules (cont. ) • “The deadline for articles is three weeks before the publication date. However, as the newsletter is about 8 pages long, this does not guarantee that a particular article sent by the deadline will appear in the next issue; it may be kept for a subsequent issue. An Editorial Board exists to evaluate the suitability of an article where this is thought necessary. I take the responsibility of editing text, either from a language point of view or adjusting length if this is required. ” Roger Peacock We are submitting a column proposal and at least two (2) abstracts for Articles so the Ed. Board can review and buy-off on a column. Submission 8 Ian Gifford, M/A-COM, Inc.
