Project Groundwater Investigation • A project-specific groundwater investigation was performed under the guidance of the County and was approved by the County. • The Mc. Cain Valley area is estimated to contain nearly 17, 000 acre-feet of groundwater in storage; an ample supply for the project and all adjacent well users. • Over 90 percent of water usage will be applied for dust suppression; the balance of water for concrete mixing and fire protection

Groundwater Investigation Results The groundwater Investigation concluded: • • • The short duration construction

Groundwater Investigation Results The groundwater Investigation concluded: • • • The short duration construction project will result in no significant groundwater depletion or well interference. The construction project and subsequent project maintenance services will have no significant impact on adjacent well users. Groundwater mitigation measures have been established to ensure that there are no off-site impacts.

Groundwater Monitoring and Mitigation Measures The following measures will be implemented during project construction:

Groundwater Monitoring and Mitigation Measures The following measures will be implemented during project construction: • • Monitoring of groundwater production in all pumping wells. Monitoring of groundwater levels in a recently constructed piezometer located 250 feet from the primary pumping wells on Rough Acres Ranch to ensure that there are no off-site impacts. Establishment of groundwater shutdown requirements if water falls to a level suggesting a decrease in water level of 20 feet at the nearest residential property line. Monthly reporting of groundwater production and water level data to the County DPLU.
