Project Expectations and Updates HL 7 sponsored projects

Project Expectations and Updates • HL 7 sponsored projects are intended to be transparent and work best when there is broad input • It can be difficult for the larger group to provide input only during ballot periods or in the week or two before when materials come to the WG for pre-ballot sign off • We’d like project teams to provide more regular updates to the WG on calls so that we better understand how projects are evolving • We need to review the status of each project as part of the upcoming WGM • Co-chairs will be reaching out to project teams
WG Updates • Each project team should provide an update to the work group a few times a year • Active projects should present more frequently • • Current status Major decisions made Upcoming milestones Questions for WG input • Projects in the comment collection phase may provide updates less frequently • Reconciliation of any submitted comments • Future plans (STU extensions, reballots, etc) • Implementation updates
Reviewing Block Votes • Block votes should group similar comments where possible • Remember there is a max of 50 comments per vote (but it shouldn’t be 50 distinct issues per block vote) • On the WG call, major comments (negatives, substantial affirmatives, etc) and non-persuasive dispositions should be briefly reviewed as not everyone has time to dive in depth into every comment • When a block vote comes out, everyone should be reviewing any comments they submitted to make sure they are OK with the disposition
Using Confluence • HL 7’s Confluence site may be used by any project team to keep minutes, document decisions, request input, etc • The Public Health Project Roadmap section has pages for all the projects – please keep at least the summary up-to-date
Using Conference Center • Project team meetings should be included on the HL 7 Conference Call Center • This increases visibility of project team work
