Types of programing languages • There are two types of programing languages: • 1. high level languages • 2. low level languages
1. High level languages • Types of languages that are near to human languages are called high level languages , these languages human easily understand in these languages used English like words for input and for output purpose. • 1. Types of High level languages : • There are many types like FORTRAN , BASIC , PASCAL , COBOL etc.
2. Low level languages • Types of languages that are near to computer hardware and far from human languages are called low level languages. • These types languages computer directly understand.
Two types of low level languages: • 1. Machine language: • Type of languages instructions are written in binary form called machine languages , this is only language that computer directly understand fastly. • Human not understand this language easily. • 2. Assembly language: • It is one step higher than machine language , In this language symbols used instead of binary code. It is also called symbolic language.
