CHARACTERISTICS OF A SERIAL KILLER: These are only a handful of characteristics when it comes to serial killers. Intelligence level may vary: From less than 90 to more than 120 90% of the time the serial killer is a male Usually between the age of 20 and 30 They have a history of violent behavior Anti social behavior since childhood

3 Types of Serial Killers: Organized Disorganized Mixed • They plan the murder very carefully; • Target a specific victim; • They like to follow their crimes in the media; • Leaves no evidence; • Hides the body of the victim; • Removes the body from the scene. • Very impulsive; • Victims are selected at random; • Crime scene left chaotic; • Leaves the body on the scene without hiding it. • Most of the time they are organized • But the excitement and rush to commit the crime is far greater than the planning thereof.
