Guiding Questions Three main roles CSOs can take in promoting good governance of the private security sector have been identified: • Awareness raising of and participation to the formulation of national policies • Monitoring of the industry • Complaints handling and assistance to victims – Do you have experiences to share in regard to these roles, from this or other business sectors? What are the most important enablers of these roles? – Do you see any other role that would be missing? – What would you see as useful to support between and for CSOs undertaking these roles? – How do you see CSO’s relationship with other actors – such as NHRI, Government, private industries, communities – in connection with these roles?
