May 1 -6, 2015 Use you BYOT or the class computers to research ideas, designs, facts and materials that will assist you in designing a creative and functional prison. Review your project handout for ideas on research ideas and websites. Create a research notes page as you conduct your research. This will be submitted as part of a formative assignment.

Project Information Page Due 5/06 1. 2. 3. First and last names of each group member. Explain which level of security your prison will incorporate and why you chose that level. Method you will use to present your prison design to the class. (Briefly explain your plan. ) This Information Page will be assigned points of 1 -5. From this point forward all documents submitted in the formative stage will be graded on a point system. Points are awarded based on neatness, organization and depth and completeness of information. Once the sheet is graded, it must be maintained by a team member. I would suggest you create a binder or notebook for this project for securing documents and materials.

Example Criminal Justice I Prison Project Information Page Name: Susie Quinn Prison Security Level: Maximum I chose maximum security because my prison will house serious criminals. I also chose this level so I can have stricter rules in my prison. Project Plan: I will complete a 3 D model of my prison with a handout attachment. I will use foam board and cardboard to build my prison. Attach your research worksheets to this Information Page.

Project Plan Draft – Due 05/04 Submit a clean blueprint draft of your prison

Project Plan Draft – Due 05/04 Submit a clean blueprint draft of your prison design. ◦ What is the layout/terrain/environment/design of your prison? ◦ Where will what be? ◦ What will be included in your design? ◦ What should we expect to see? This is not a scribble page with unidentifiable “stuff” on it. Describe which units of your prison will be seen in the model and describe the unit ◦ Showers (required) How many? How will they look? ◦ Cells (required) What is in a cell? How many cells? Must show the detailed layout of at least one cell. ◦ Cafeteria (required) ◦ Commons areas (Choose one) Medical Unit Administration Classroom / Library Laundry
