Priority Setting Special Considerations Box There are two sets of guidelines: 1. Criteria that outline the qualities that the project must meet to be placed in the Box. 2. Processes that the project are required to include before, during, and after its implementation.
Criteria for Inclusion in the Box • Little or no information is available on this population or there is a lack of consistent information. • There is an indication that the population engages in high risk behavior or is at risk for HIV. • The project findings can provide a foundation of information that can inform HIV prevention planning and other efforts.
Specifications Required for the Project • Approval by an “oversight committee” is required. • Stakeholders (population) must be involved in the development of the project. • Project findings must be disseminated to HPPC and DPH to ensure that agencies that work with the population get the information. • Project findings must be communicated so that providers can use the information to improve HIV prevention efforts.
