Prioritizing Your Time

Prioritizing Your Time

1. Start a To-Do List! – start each day with a list of what

1. Start a To-Do List! – start each day with a list of what you need to accomplish starting with the most important tasks; review throughout the day…if you don’t complete something, just add it to the next day’s list. 2. Know your Limits! – if your to-do list is getting too long, you are over-extending yourself; cut back on some things that are not required to free up your time. 3. Bring Work Along! – if you have an upcoming test or an assignment due, take the work with you wherever you go…use the free time you come across to work instead of checking social media or staring into space. 4. Schedule everything! – carry a pocket planner and include tests, assignments, rehearsals/practices, works shifts, volunteer work, recreational time, family time. 5. Don’t Procrastinate! – putting it off doesn’t make it go away…it will just be added to what you need to do the next day…and the next; Spread out your work into manageable segments and stick to a schedule in getting them done!
