Martinsburg High School has about 1, 775 students, a staff of 155 and about 15 new teachers this year.
Martinsburg High The vision of Martinsburg High School is to provide success for all students, that they might be motivated for a lifetime of learning and productivity in a democratic and changing society. Martinsburg mission's is Success for all Students. The faculty and staff of Martinsburg High School believe that we must ensure success for all students - that is, we must enable all students to grow intellectually, personally and socially; to become responsible citizens and to enjoy a productive life.
Martinsburg High This commitment to success for all students is based on several premises that every student can learn and should have equal access to an education that promotes optimal individual growth; that education should motivate and enable students to develop their capabilities for a lifetime of learning, and for responsible, productive participation in a democratic society and a diverse, changing world; that everyone directly involved in education should be accountable for student performance.
Martinsburg High To that end, Martinsburg High has been a leader in “Data Teams” in Berkeley County School. MHS formulated groups of teachers with similar grade level/subject area classes to work collaboratively to review data based on student performance. From these data findings, the teachers are making instructional and curricular changes which will improve student achievement.
