Great things are happening in our community… we have dreamers and planners. . There is a wonderful opportunity for our city and district to develop a SCIENCE and LEARNING CENTRE in the former Sears building in the Gateway Mall! A small, creative, and determined group has been seeking out very exciting possibilities and already, there are many major promising developments!

The dreaming and planning has begun! The development of THE PRINCE ALBERT SCIENCE CENTRE has made great strides towards success! We have established a Board of Directors and an Advisory Members Group , we are incorporated, have established FOUR working Committees, we have completed two Strategic Planning Sessions and much, much more! The completion WILL BE WELL CELEBRATED!!

A group of Prince Albert people with a dream and a vision have set the stage to develop a Science Centre that will awe and inspire all who visit! • A small group gathered in the fall of 2018 to put some ideas together. • Administration of the Gateway Mall has worked with the group and has made known to us that a Science Center can be located in the former Sears part of the Gateway Mall.

• We have had contact with the Saskatchewan Science Center. They are excited about the establishment of a ‘Science Centre’ – location. They plan on meeting with us again in the very near future. • We have made contact with the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and they are also interested in this project. • We have made contact with many other potential organizations who are excited about the proposed PRINCE ALBERT SCIENCE CENTRE.

What do we need to accomplish in the immediate future? • • Confirm a Project Manager Establish a Name Develop a Business Plan & Sustainability Plan Develop an initial membership group Formulate a Constitution Register for a Charities Number. Create a Logo Start a FUNDRAISING plan.

Mission Statement. The Prince Albert Science Centre is a non-profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our purpose is to grow an interactive centre for science. Bringing all people together to explore, play, and learn.

VISION STATEMENT The Prince Albert Science Centre is a hub of science and discovery which draws people together to explore world class interactive exhibits and events!

PRINCE ALBERT SCIENCE CENTRE and Education Using information from the Saskatchewan Science Centre…. We wish to strive to engage our visitors in the discovery of science and to aid their understanding of concepts that go beyond theories. Through hands-on school programs, such as school workshops, students will have the opportunity to learn science concepts that follow curriculum standards, as well as learn skills that relate to other subjects. The innovative exhibits and workshops can fulfill science curriculum outcomes and the Broad Areas of Learning.
