B & Teams PSTN Licenses Before you license users, you will need: 1) Cloud PBX (O 365 Phone System) Licenses (via E 5 or standalone) 2) PSTN Calling Plan (Domestic –ORDomestic+International) 3) PSTN Consumption for any calls which require per minute billing –OR- if you overrun your monthly allotment of minutes in your calling plan 4) You can add any of the above licenses here using “Add subscriptions” Note: If you are a volume licensing customer, you will buy the calling subscription via your enterprise agreement. Number porting—Basics Preparing to port • Do not disconnect service with current carrier • Make sure there are no freezes on your account • Turn off any special carrier side features for the numbers (e. g. Distinctive ring, Centrex service, ISDN/DSL lines) Creating a request • All numbers need to be from a single • • carrier (Cannot be part of any pending port requests & not residential service) Company name and address much exactly match the losing carrier details on file Billing Telephone Number (BTN), Account Number & PIN/Passcode (if required) Letter of Authorization (LOA) signed by authorized party of your company Choose Full Port (No numbers left behind) or Partial Port (Leaving some numbers with losing carrier)
Number porting—Best practices & common problems Best practices • If you’re planning on porting > 100 numbers, it’s better to engage the service desk to help guide & project manage the process • Plan your porting schedule well in advance – waiting until the last minute will often result in problems Problems which can be encountered • Order completion dates slip because of 1 or more order exceptions from the losing carrier • The port order was rejected during scheduling, and the numbers can’t be ported • The port activation is delayed and is taking longer than 2 hrs to complete (occurs mainly in Europe) • The port activation fails and the numbers remain with the losing carrier
