Estimated Energy and Maintenance Cost Savings Calculations HPL TECHNOLOGIES Street Light vs. Conventional Street Light 91 Watt HPL TECHNOLOGIES Street Light 91 Watts x 10 hrs. = 910 WH per day 910 WH x 365 days = 332, 150 WH or 332. 2 KWH per year Cost/yr: 332. 2 KWH x $0. 10/KWH = $33. 22 per 91 watt LED street light Electrical energy cost of one 91 watt LED street light over 50, 000 hours (13. 7 years) = $455. 11 Energy Cost Savings over the life span of one HPL Technologies Street Light vs. conventional HPS street light = $985. 03 (68% energy savings). 250* Watt HPS Street Light 288 Watts x 10 hrs. = 2880 WH per day 2880 WH x 365 days = 1, 051, 200 WH or 1, 051. 2 KWH per year Cost/yr: 1, 051. 2 KWH x $0. 10/KWH = $105. 12 per 288 watt HPS street light Electrical energy cost of one 288 watt HPS street light over 50, 000 hours (13. 7 years) = $1440. 14 • 250 watt High Pressure Sodium (HPS) streetlight lamp consists of a 250 watt bulb plus the ballast which consumes greater than 38 watts of energy = 238 watts energy consumption. Average maintenance and replacement costs of one street light: The Street light lamp bulb is replaced every three years (3. 0 years) = $200 (labor) +$50 (bulb) + $5 (waste mgt. ) = $255 every 3 years or $85 / yr. The ballast is replaced every 5 years at a cost of $350 (ballast + labor + waste mgt. ) or $70/yr. The fixture/aluminum head is replaced every 18 years at a cost of $425 or $23. 61 per year. Therefore, the average maintenance and replacement cost per year is $178. 61. Over the lifespan equivalent of a LED street light of 50, 000 (13. 7 years), the cost savings of maintenance / replacement of one current HPS street light is: 13. 7 x $178. 61/yr. = $2446. 96 Maintenance & Energy Cost Savings by converting to One HPL Technologies Street Light: Maintenance Cost Savings ($2, 446. 96) and Energy Cost Savings ($985. 03): $3, 431. 99 or 250. 51 cost savings per year per HPL Technologies Street Light. Return on Investment (R. O. I. ): 3. 6 years $739 (Additional cost of LED street light fixture vs. conventional) + Installation $200 = $939 expense divided by $260. 51 / yr. savings = 3. 6 years A city/town with an average of 100, 000 street lights will save $356. 899 Million over the lifespan of the LED Street Lights. Applicable Savings from Energy Rebates and CO 2 tax credits approx $10. 00 per year per post to further reduce the ROI. Note: energy and maintenance costs continue to escalate. 403 -389 -3133 (CND) www. globalocean. org information@globalocean. org V 16_120815

Estimated Energy and Maintenance Cost Savings Calculations HPL 36 Watt Linear LED Luminaires vs. 72 Watt Fluorescent Tubes 36 Watt HPL Linear Luminaire 36 Watts x 10 hrs. = 360 WH per day 360 WH x 365 days = 131, 400 WH or 131. 4 KWH per year Cost/yr: 131. 4 KWH x $0. 10/KWH = $13. 14 per 36 watt LED Linear Energy Cost Savings/yr (66. 6%): $26. 28 (LED vs. fluorescent) Electrical energy cost of one 36 watt LED Linear over 50, 000 hours (13. 7 years) = $360. 04 Energy Cost Savings over the life span of one HPL Linear Light vs. conventional Fluorescent Light = $180. 01 (68% energy savings). 72* Watt Fluorescent Light 108 Watts x 10 hrs. = 1080 WH per day 1080 WH x 365 days = 394, 200 WH or 394. 2 KWH per year Cost/yr: 394. 2 KWH x $0. 10/KWH = $39. 42 per 108 watt fluorescent light Electrical energy cost of one 108 watt fluorescent light over 50, 000 hours (13. 7 years) = $540. 05 Note: Fluorescent tubes would have to be replaced approx. 7 times during the life span of one LED Linear Luminaire * 72 Watt Fluorescent light consists of a 2 x 32 watt mercury tubes, and a ballast which consumes 36 watts of energy = 108 watts. Average maintenance and replacement costs of fluorescent tubes and ballast: Maintenance cost to replace florescent tubes: $25. 00. Fluorescent tubes have to be replaced every two years (2. 0 years) and Ballast every 5 years; therefore, maintenance $12. 50 per year + cost of tubes $2. 5 + cost of ballast and labor replacement $25 + $5. 0(waste mgt. ) = $45. 00 maintenance and replacement cost per year. Over the lifespan equivalent of a LED Linear Luminaire of 13. 7 years the cost of maintenance / replacement of one fluorescent is: 13. 7 x $45/yr. = $616. 50 ROI: Savings per year (Energy, air conditioning and maintenance): $26. 28 + $9. 86 + $45. 00 = $81. 14 / yr. savings $150 (LED Linear Selling Price) divided by $81. 14 / yr. savings = 1. 8 years R. O. I. Note: Energy Saving Rebates have to be added to the ROI plus carbon credits plus escalating cost of energy. $3, 000 in carbon tax credits would be generated annually for every 1 million fluorescent lighting fixtures replaced with Remco’s linear LED luminaires, approximately $12 million in carbon tax credits generated annually to replace 4 million fluorescent lighting fixtures. Note: energy and maintenance costs continue to escalate with conventional lighting. 403 -389 -3133 (CND) www. globalocean. org information@globalocean. org V 16_120815

LED T 8 EX 4 ft Tube External Driver Series System Advantages Driver Technology HPL Technologies uses an external driver for their tubes systems. This provides a system designed for maximum life and consistent performance. With an external driver you separate the heat produced by both the LED chips and driver and greatly reduce the accelerated wear on both components. Each tube is driven on its own channel and is not affected by the other tubes in the system. LED Chip Technology HPL Technologies uses current production top of the line LED Chips. Not all chips are the same and this is evident in CRI, lumen output and depreciation. Our chip boards are designed and configured to dissipate maximum heat while providing a seamless distribution of light. We also under drive our chips from the recommended m. A current provided by the chip manufacturer to control the amount of heat produced by the chips. With HPL Technologies engineering and design you can be assured you are using the most advanced LED tube system on the market. And with a proven track record and constant improvement in our products, HPL Technologies will be your only source for LED products. 403 -389 -3133 (CND) www. globalocean. org information@globalocean. org V 16_120815

LED High Bay/Canopy/Tunnel/Garage Series mounting options OD TU PW FL CH RE This versatile LED fixture was designed for direct replacement of HID lighting in any industrial or commercial application. This fixture is available with multiple optic options and can be customized to provide equal illumination for any application. HPL Technologies Highbay series is the only fixture on the market specifically designed for high mast lighting. It is engineered with open lighting modules to reduce the effect of air currents that are present at extreme heights on its EPA. Its also has a mounting that balances its weight inward thereby reducing the leverage exerted on the mounting pole. Along with its high lumen output and Remco and Philips Advance drivers, the HPL Highbay will replace any HID high mast lighting. Whether you require 24 hour operation or full DALI controls for maximum energy savings, HPL Technologies can design a lighting system to fit your specific needs.
