Proficiency “Becoming proficient” Means learning your obligations and the answers to a few questions about each Degree You should do your proficiency in each degree separately Proficient members gain voting rights in Chapter Proficient members can compete in various competitions at Conclave Each Chapter chooses a medal or pin to recognize Proficient members

Merit Bars There are many Merit Bars given as rewards for different activities. They come in 5 colors, each one representing how many times you have earned each: White – 1 st Award Red – 2 nd Award Blue – 3 rd Award Purple – 4 th Award Gold – 5 th Award You will receive a list now. . .

Leadership Correspondence Courses (LCC) Once you are proficient, or if you have an opportunity to attend a class, you take the LCC’s. There are five courses. Completing all 5 gives you the Gold Merit Bar and the Lamp of Knowledge pin. These courses will help you be more successful in De. Molay. There is also a Lamp of Knowledge pin for Advisors and Chapter Sweethearts who pass all 5 courses.

Blue Honor Key Awarded for First Line Singing the petitions of 10 new members.

Representative De. Molay The highest ranking award that a De. Molay can earn. This is a self evaluation of every aspect of your life. Required to become a Master Councilor. Your RD Advisor will assist you.

Past Scribe’s Jewel Awarded to Chapter Scribes after completing a successful term of office.

Past Master Councilor’s Jewel Awarded to a Chapter Master Councilor after completing a successful term of office.

Past Master Councilor’s Meritorious Service Awarded to a Master Councilor after completing a excellent term of office and meeting certain criteria.

Knighthood You may join Knighthood. De. Molay Knighthood is an appendant body to De. Molay which gives more experienced De. Molays additional opportunities to learn skills while serving De. Molay. Knighthood has additional awards that you will be able to earn.

Zerubbabel Key The individual chiefly responsible for organizing a new or reinstated Chapter may be recommended for the Zerubbabel Key. Up to three Zerubbabel Keys are granted for each new or reinstated Chapter. One of these MAY be awarded to an Active De. Molay.

Chevalier Chevalier is the highest honor that an Active De. Molay can receive. You can never request to be made a Chevalier. You have to be at least 17 years old.
