Location: City located south-east of the country. Surface: 296, 2 km² Population: 193, 024 (2013). Weather: Almería is positioned as the driest city in Europe and one of the most arid in the Mediterranean. The precipitations are very scarce, and there is little monthly thermal amplitude.

• The University of Almería (UAL) is located in the southeast of Spain, in the region of Andalusia. It was founded in 1993. Today it has more than 12. 000 students, including 600 doctorate students.
