In • Twitter It is important to keep in mind that anything that is uploaded through the use of these sites can be viewed by anybody that has internet access. Keeping your identify safe. . . In our society now in days the use of social media is very relevant. It is not necessary to stop using these social networks however it is important to take pre-caution and keep your identity safe. In order to do so it is important to keep the information you share on these sites limited. All of these sites enable the user to share very unique information that pertains to us such as pictures, location, family members, birthday, gender etc. All of this is great information to share however being that social networks are being used for identity theft not all of that information would be go to share on these sites. Some may say, “I manipulated my privacy settings in order to limit the people who view my information. ” Although this might be true there are individuals who are able to hack these accounts by encrypting your password and obtaining your information. One way to avoid this is to use more complex passwords or simply do not upload this type of information. A complex password would consist of: 8 or more characters Characters should include a combination of uppercase/lower case letters, symbols, and numbers.
